Scope and Contents
Originally built in 1878 as the Burtis-Kimball House this hotel was completely remodeled in 1907-08. It reopened Feb. 1, 1908 as the "New Kimball Hotel". Transformed into apartments in 1917 and later known as "Perry Apartments", then "Vale Apartments", it became structurally unsafe and was razed in 1993.

Front: Exterior of south and west sides of building. Awnings, signage, posters are all visible along the ground floor. "Kimball House" is above the third story windows on both sides.
Back: No handwriting. Green ink. Divided back. Publisher: Made in Germany. A.C. Bosselman & Co., New York. Stampbox visible.
