Scope and Contents
Originally built in 1878 as the Burtis-Kimball House this hotel was completely remodeled in 1907-08. It reopened Feb. 1, 1908 as the "New Kimball Hotel". Transformed into apartments in 1917 and later known as "Perry Apartments", then "Vale Apartments", it became structurally unsafe and was razed in 1993.

Lanscape orientation. Color added to photographic image.
Front: Exterior view of south and west sides of building. Signage for a Cafe, Buffet, bath and "New Kimball" are visible. The fire escape appears to now have diagonal structure on the west side. There are tall globe lamps on the south sidewalk.
