Scope and Contents

This collection contains eleven black and white snapshots taken by Theodore "Ted" Bowman of the Mississippi River flood in April 1951. The scenes focus on Davenport's downtown area.

There is also an 8 x 10" black and white print of presidential candidate Thomas E. Dewey shaking the hands of a crowd during a visit to Davenport in September 1948. Again, photographic credit goes to Theodore "Ted" Bowman.

A June 1938 Davenport High School commencement program rounds out the collection.
