Scope and Contents

This collection consists of one postcard, three photographic prints, and newspaper clippings.

The 5 x 7" photographic prints capture one exterior, two interiors of the shoe company. The postcard depects Vanderslice Stahmer Shoe Company, a Davenport and Des Moines business. The newspaper clipping are an obituary of F.J. Stahmer from 1927, an article regarding daughter Ella taking over company after his death in 1928, and an article about factory circa 1952. The newspaper clippings have been photocopied of clippings mounted on adhesive 8.5 x 11" cardstock.
