Scope and Contents

This is a collection of memorabilia from the Marycrest College Class of 1953 as well as alumni information, snapshots and a bibliography of newspaper clippings. Articles of note are the Class of 1971 commencement and baccalaureate announcement and an essay relating personal experiences of the donor and her sister.

Biographical / Historical

The donor graduated from Marycrest College with the class of 1953. She attended from 1949-1953.

Marycrest College (Davenport, Iowa), later known as Marycrest University, opened in 1939 as a higher education institution for Catholic women. The school was founded by the sisters from the Congregation of the Humility of Mary.
