Ebeling Architectural Collection

 Collection
Identifier: 2023-43

Scope and Contents

This is a collection of architectural studies and drawings done by Arthur H. Ebeling of Davenport, Iowa. Within the collection are drawings created by G.A. Hanssen and D.J. Harfst dating 1902-1908. Correspondence course work done by Arthur Ebeling and his brother Paul Ebeling is also included.

These are construction drawings, mostly on coated linen paper but some on tissue or blueprints. Many were secured with brass brads that had oxidized leaving green markings, however they do not affect the drawings.

The donor had arranged drawings alphabetically by Project Title within groupings of three letters such as D-E-F. Processor went a step further separating to each letter. Overly large sized or those with condition issues may be temporarily located out of order. An index of the drawings is available which was created by the donor.

An inventory is in process by Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center. Until a map case is obtained the drawings are in temporary storage.
