This collection consists of one ledger of 195 pages (pagination runs from page 3 to 197) documenting the abstract of titles minute book of Scott County, Iowa. it includes title transfers, mortgages, and deeds. Each page features the following columns: Parties and Minutes. Each entry also lists the book and page number. The books are labeled A though N and are not entirely in alphabetical order. The entries are undated, but the dates may be discerned by the names of the parties or individuals partaking in these property transfers. Some recognizable individuals include Antoine LeClaire, Ebenezer Cook, Hiram Price, George L. Davenport, John F. Dillon. This volume document information from early Davenport history ranging from 1830s to the early 1900s.
