Women's Auxiliary to United Federation of Postal Clerks, Local #91 Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of three scrapbooks documenting the activities of the Women's Auxiliary to United Federation of Postal Clerks, Local #91 organization. The scrapbooks were created by Virginia Vande Wiele and other members of the group. The latter two scrapbooks won first prize within the state organization.
The scrapbooks include programs and details of the the annual state convention, picnics, and other events held by the group as well as membership information about the individuals and their families. There are photographs, programs, realia, newspaper articles, correspondence, and more documenting the organization and its membership. The scrapbooks are mostly organized chronologically.
Each scrapbook also showcases an image of the Postmaster for the City of Davenport. The postmaster was Arthur Kroppach during the years documented by the scrapbooks. The scrapbook also preserves the organization's bulletin, "Have You Heard."

Virginia Vande Wiele was the historian for the organization. She was also the editor of the "Have You Heard" newsletter. She created the scrabooks with other members of the organization.
Donor's father, Al Vande Wiele, worked for the post office.
Mrs. Dorothy Longlett was the president of the Auxiliary.
