Scope and Contents

Oversized photographs of the Mt. Ida Bakery and a group portrait including local resident Oscar DeMoney.

8/14/2020: no image of Mt. Ida Bakery in this box. There is an oversized image, currently rolled, identified as First Conference of the Continental Baking Division held December 5-6, 1949 in Chicago, IL taken by Burke and Dean photographers.

Large group portrait of Loyal Order of Moose posed on the Carnegie Library steps with uniforms and with L.O.O.M. flag hanging behind them.

Added 11/19/2021 two images sent by donor along with genealogical family group sheets for DeMoney. One small black and white snapshot of a little girl wearing a crown and holding a wand is identified by donor as Irene DeMoney born 1917 in Davenport Iowa. The other is a color snapshot of a residence identified by donor as 1317 College Avenue in Davenport, Iowa where Irene DeMoney was born in 1917. Taken probably 1970-1980.

Added 02/20/2022: More family group sheets for STRUVE, CARSTENS to 2020-06 as well as reprints and original snapshots of DeMONEY descendants as well as STRUVE and SOEHREN. Most are of the DeMONEY sisters Vernadine, Ruth, Thelma and Irene with parents Oscar and Jessie.
