Operation Clean Davenport Collection
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of materials for a public service announcement and program for Operation Clean Davenport Inc. featuring Woodsey Owl and local boxer Michael Nunn, slide sheets with slides, program scripts and presentation materials, 35mm film (see Film Preservation Project). The slides consist of images of the Clean Sweep events, KAB Awards, local runs, organized clean-ups, presentation slides, billboards and signs, and downtown, Mississippi River, and street scenes. Individuals and places of note: Senator Charles Grassley, Congresswoman Therese Creech, and J. Mathis, Levy Inn, Centenntial Bridge.

Operation Clean Davenport Inc. was organized in 1980 as a cooperative effort of the city and chamber. This Davenport Beautification Program was certified by the Keep America Beautiful organization.
