Biographical / Historical

Adelena Reba (MINKE) STRAYER was born in Davenport, Iowa on December 3, 1915 to Harry and Elizabeth (SCHILLING) MINKE. She had two siblings, Ruth and Irene. The family lived at 1437 West High Street until the latter 1940's when the couple divorced and Elizabeth and Irene moved to Portland, OR. Adelena married Henry STRAYER Nov. 29, 1941. They started their family and lived in Rock Island, IL. Adelena died in Portland, OR July 7, 2013. The donor is her son.
