This is a class picture of ninth graders posed in what appears to be a gymnasium. It is a Panoramic print, black and white, measuring 8 x 20". There are signatures of students and teachers on the back of the image. The photographer was Fromader of Davenport, IA. Dated May 1945.

Biographical / Historical
J.B. Young closed as a school at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. 1919- JB Young opened in February 1923- Six rooms were added 1920-1930- Davenport High School’s basketball teams played their games in the JB Young gym 1950- Intermediate Schools were renamed Junior High Schools 1963-1965- Renovations and additions provide a new IMC, cafeteria, and classrooms 1993- JB Young changed to an Intermediate School serving grades 6-8 2003- Renovations which included a new entrance with a new address, 1702 Main Street
