This group portrait of the 1908 School #12 or Fillmore School graduating class of 13 boys and 9 girls with some identification written on the front and back in ink. 10x13" print is sepia and is rather dirty with several spots in upper right corner. Mounted on 11x18" board which is in very poor condition.

Biographical / Historical

School #12 also known as Fillmore School was located at Fourth and Warren Streets in Davenport, Iowa. It opened in 1899/1900.

According to donor, Juliane HEESCHEN was class secretary at the time of graduation. Born in November 1894 to Deidrich and Katharine HEESCHEN, Juliane married Floyd SLOCUM in 1922. Many of the HEESCHEN family called Davenport their home.
