Biographical / Historical

Herma Auguste Johanna Gruenhagen was born in 1886 in Scott County Iowa to Peter and Dora (Lange) Gruenhagen. She was married in 1920 to Victor Clemons Potrykus Sr. (1885-1954) a son of Robert and Eva (Keller) Potrykus. Herma and Victor Potrykus had at least two children - Victor Jr. who died in infancy and Eva Dorothy Potrykus. Eva, born 1923, married Otto G. Liedtke in 1942 in Davenport. Otto died in 1992 and Eva in 2016. The neighbors were asked to help close the estate and felt the historic documents would be of local history interest to Special Collections.
