Biographical / Historical

Ingward Petersen was born in 1896, and lived in Davenport for most of his life. He was an Army veteran of World War I, and a member of American Legion Post 26. Petersen married Irene De Reu in 1924, and they had a daughter, Joan. Irene died in 1967, and in 1973, Petersen married Arline Fredenburg. He owned and operated Petersen’s Men’s Store in Moline, and retired in 1966. Petersen died November 5, 1980.
