Biographical / Historical

The Auditor’s Office is legally responsible to have the county plats, but past practice has been to keep a copy in the Assessor’s Office as well for checks and balances. The Auditor’s office went to all digital mapping in about 2010. It was determined that keeping the second hand-drawn copy in the Assessor’s office wasn’t necessary. All of these items were digitized by the Assessor’s office in-house. The maps show parcel numbers, acres, and provide names and dates of property owners. They are organized by township.
