Oral History Interviews of veterans by St. Ambrose University students

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of two interviews recorded on audio cassette tapes and accompanying documentation done in 2006 by St. Ambrose University students for a class. Tom Crowder was a veteran of the Vietnam War and John Drexler of the Korean War.

These interviews were transcribed by the students and a printed copy of the transcription is available along with biographical documentation.

This collection consists of 14 small black and white photographic images from scrapbook related to Davenport couple O. A. Solbrig, Lieutenant, active in aviation circa 1910-1920. Several photographs were taken in Clinton, Iowa, two in Rock Island, Illinois, and one in Washington, D.C.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of computer prints of photographic images and historic facts presumably from a presentation regarding the Davenport processing plant located at 1337 West 2nd Street (1337 West Second Street). The plant was first called Zoecklers, then Kohrs Packing Company. It was purchased by Oscar Mayer in 1946. The images are grainy but are from the following years: 1906, 1910-1951, 1961. There are also photograph photocopies of the floods labeled 1969, 1993, and 2001....
